Does Ma maison have batter pork? (LOL Please get my pun)
Ma Maison has a variety of Japanese cuisine with different outlets specialising in different styles of Japanese food, from Tonkatsu, Japanese western and a cafe. Ma Maison's tonkatsu restaurants include a variety of different katsus, from pork, chicken, prawn, beef and oyster.

The Cheese Mille-feuille katsu consisted of cheese stuffed in rolled up pork. The cheese was melty, the skin was crispy and the pork was juicy which I really liked.
The Okusen Kurobuta Rosu Katsu was very good. The meat was oily and tender yet with a bit of boucy texture.
I also tried their prawn and oyster tonkatsu which were really good! Soft, juicy, crispy!
All in all, Ma Maison serves pretty good tonkatsu. I really like their batter which is very crispy (you can hear the crunch) and preserves the juicy flavour of the meat inside. I recommend trying the Kurobuta Katsu which I think is fantastic although it is on the rather pricy side compared to the other choices. Also, all set meals come with tea and free flow of their special miso soup and cabbage, what could get better?
All in all, I would recommend you to try Ma Maison Tonkatsu!
