Akimitsu: Tempura straight from Japan!

Straight from Asakua, Japan, Akitmitsu is here in Singapore to spread its love of Tendon and tempura! With a range of different tempuras, tendons and udon, Akitmitsu fries their signature tempuras on your order.


The mixed tempura set I tried was very nice. The tempura was crispy and umami filled yet soft on the inside, not the usual disappointing light coloured tempura that we get at mainstream Japanese restaurant around Singapore.
In fact, they are known for their fresh Anago (Eel) tempura, flown from Japan and fried freshly upon your order.
The udon set surprisingly passed my expectations with the springy udon compared to the usual soggy noodles from other Japanese restaurants.
All in all, Akitmitsu has really amazing tempura that you should definitely give a try. Price-wise it's quite decent prices for good tempura. I visited their original restaurant in Asakusa is June 2017 and I can conclude that their Singapore branch really preserved their secret recipe and is not far off.
All in all, I would recommend you to try Akimitsu!
