Tsuta Japanese Soba Noodle: Shio good ramen!

Tsuta Japanese Soba noodle is the first and only Michelin star ramen shop from Tokyo that has arrived in Singapore! Ironically, although they have "soba" in their name, they sell ramen instead. With their signature truffle oil blended soup, the fragrance of that bowl of ramen makes your mouth water from the moment you enter the shop.

With 3 different soup bases, Shio, Shoyu and Miso, the soup s Using NO MSG and a variety of ingredients (such as chicken, seafood, herbs...) for the soup, the soup is surprisingly fragrant and light, not the overly-salty soup that usual ramen stalls offer. The chasu in the soup was also super soft and tender, cooked to perfection. The noodles are also very special, similar to the soba noodles, thin flat noodles, not as spongy as ramen.

They also have chasu rice bowls which are really good too! The thinly sliced chasu melts in you mouth with the garlic butter sauce drizzle, instant satisfaction. They also have yuzu wanton soup which is a small bowl but I don't think that they taste good as the wanton skin was a little tough and the minced pork inside the wanton lacked flavour.

For drinks, they only have hot and cold tea, and beers, so there is not many selections unfortunately. Also, the wheat tea had a weird taste similar to liang cha/ cooling tea which is different from the usual green tea served at Japanese restaurants.

All in all, the ramen was wonderful, full of flavour and the perfect textures. I would definitely be going back soon for more of that ramen perfection! The price is reasonable, around $15.

All in all, I would recommend you to try Tsuta Japanese Soba noodle!
