Barrio: Let's Salsa!

Let's salsa salsa into Barrio by Mex-out! Barrio is a Mexican restaurant which has a few locations over Singapore. This newly opened restaurant serves Mexican food with a colourful themed ambience.

The fish tacos come in 2s and 3s! A beer battered sea bass, along with salsa, chipotle aioli, pickled red cabbage lying in a 6-inch soft tortilla. Such a beautiful mix of flavours!

The char grilled chicken rice bowl was a bit disappointing with just a big bowl of Mexican chicken rice. The mix of flavours was nice but it was too dry and didn't deliver the spicy kick that I expected.

This Chili cheese burger is one of the best burgers I have ever tasted! With a juicy house mad beef patty, home made smoky chili con carne, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo, this juicy and saucy burger does not disappoint!

Another must try is the Loaded beef nachos! A huge plate of saucy crispy nachos for 13.60. Smoky chili con carne, jalapeños, guacamole, cotija cheese and melted cheddar. Ooo! It’s really so good!

To finish it all off, we had some churros. It was crispy on the outside with a decadent chocolate sauce however, the inside was a bit undercooked.

All in all, Barrio has some good food and drinks but although the menu choices are quite limited. The food is mildly spicy so it doesn't exactly deliver the spicy kick. The must tries are definitely the nachos, chili cheese burger and tacos!

All in all, I would recommend you to try Barrio!
