Tanuki Raw: Shake that egg!

While scrolling through your Instagram feed, there must have been at least once that you've seen a wobbling egg on a bed of beautifully grilled beef. This is it! Tanuki Raw, the home of the famous truffle Yakiniku Donburi!

Tanuki raw is a modern Japanese restaurant which specialises in their famous donburi (rice bowls)! They also have freshly shucked oysters going at $2/piece during their happy hour (5-8pm) and amazing cocktails to celebrate the end of a tiring day at work! No to mention their variety of maki rolls and innovative dishes that you should try!

Let's not forget their special set lunch offers! Add another $5 to you donburi and get a salad, a bowl of miso soup and a "back to work" beverage of your choice!

All in all, I feel that Tanuki raw is a great place to go for lunch or after work for a satisfying yet refreshing meal.

Their Truffle Yakiniku was quite spectacular, the cook on the beef was just right and the egg is oh so instagram-worthy. The taste of the whole dish is flavourful and filling ^.^

But if you are regularly a health conscious person, I suggest you request for plain rice or a salad base (+$1) as i feel that they put way too much flavouring into their signature mixed rice.

The Chirashi was a little disappointing as I felt that some of the sashimi on the rice was not super fresh and quite hard to bite actually.

The Cooler than Lychee drink was great and you should really get the premium set ($5 add on) if you go during lunch as it's super worth it! FYI, the green tea is super bitter so if you unless u like the bitter type of green tea, I suggest you go for the premium set (+$5) instead of the regular lunch set (+$2)!

All in all, I would recommend you to try Tanuki Raw!
